The Product team is the team responsible for developing Cognite Data Fusion as a robust and scalable platform for solving industrial data problems at Cognite. The industrial data problem is at the heart of transforming asset-intensive industries to be safer, more sustainable and more profitable. Cognite’s Cognite Data Fusion makes the operational data available at scale and adds value to the data through data processing. This enables asset-intensive industries to make data-driven decisions. Our platform is built on many different technologies, each good at solving various challenges.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our infrastructure group. Infrastructure in Cognite is responsible for our foundational infrastructure and the internal developer platform. This means everything from provisioning cloud infrastructure with Terraform through supporting our service teams with CI/CD services and ensuring they have working observability and alerting. In addition, we build an internal developer platform to reduce cognitive load for our developers. Our success is measured by how easy it is to be a productive developer in Cognite and the quality of the infrastructure we build.
You are able to focus on your team's deliveries whilst at the same time seeing the total picture and what is the best for Cognite. It is important that you get energy from working as a collaborative leader and can coach a team with different competency areas and levels. You will be responsible for managing a team of around 10 infrastructure engineers.

- Co-create new processes that support growth and scale
- Provide feedback, ensuring to celebrate both successes and failures as opportunities for growth and development
- Mentor and coach teammates to grow and take on stretch assignments and support them to meet their potential
- Improve the team-internal processes to optimize the overall performance of the team, while at the same time making sure the team is positively engaged and empowered.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Include
- Experience with process design for efficiency (lean), change management and stakeholder management
- SaaS company experience or robust and hands-on familiarity with SaaS and CI/CD
- People Manager experience or tech lead experience, project manager or product manager experiences with a desire to be a people manager
- Planning, designing, and overseeing projects, as well as managing and leading 10 engineers
- Develop and scale experience and/or desire to design/enhance new processes or resources that support repeatability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Adaptability and resilience; experience and/or comfort in scale-up environment, thinking, building and continuous improvement
- Continuous learner; naturally curious and always ready to learn
- Achievement-oriented; exhibit a high say/do ratio
- Teamwork & growth mindset: partnering to support growth, challenges, finding creative solutions & delivering results
