The Product team is the team responsible for developing Cognite Data Fusion as a robust and scalable platform for solving industrial data problems at Cognite. The industrial data problem is at the heart of transforming asset-intensive industries to be safer, more sustainable and more profitable. Cognite’s Cognite Data Fusion makes the operational data available at scale and adds value to the data through data processing. This enables asset-intensive industries to make data-driven decisions. We are looking for an Engineering Manager for our Core Security team that consists of Security Engineering and Security Operations. In the organization's shared responsibility model (aligned with the NIST CSF functions) for product security and infrastructure security, the Core Security team's main focus areas are Protect and Detect. That means everything from Identity and Access management of enterprise services, to security engineering for Product with CI/CD services. This role is supported by senior technical leads who work in a highly collaborative way within their teams. This role will help drive greater adoption of SDLC practices through aligning with internal stakeholders, supporting changes needed among scope owners, and measuring progress toward adoption or enhanced security posture.
You are able to focus on your team's deliveries whilst at the same time seeing the big picture, clearing and escalating obstacles in their path and supporting the professional development of the team. It is important that you get energy from working as a collaborative leader and can coach a team with different competency areas and levels. You have experience in scaling internal service organizations and are comfortable developing processes to drive quality and repeatability that support efficiency and alignment in how Cognite secures its product and organization.

- Co-create new processes that support growth and scale
- Provide feedback, ensuring to celebrate both successes and failures as opportunities for growth and development
- Mentor and coach teammates to grow and take on stretch assignments and support them to meet their potential
- Improve the team-internal processes to optimize the overall performance of the team, while at the same time making sure the team is positively engaged and empowered.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Include
- Experience with process design for efficiency (lean), change management and stakeholder management
- SaaS company experience or strong, hands-on familiarity of SaaS and CI/CD
- People Manager experience; or tech lead experience, project manager or product manager experiences with a desire to be a people manager
- Planning, designing, overseeing projects, as well as managing and leading 10 Engineers
- Develop and scale experience and/or desire to design/enhance new processes or resources that support repeatability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Adaptability and resilience; experience and/or comfort in startup environment, thinker, builder and continuous improvement
- Continuous learner; naturally curious and always ready to learn
- Achievement oriented; exhibit a high say/do ratio
- Teamwork & growth mind-set; partnering to support growth, challenges, finding creative solutions & delivering results
